'Twittering Machine' - Paul Klee (1922)

A practical art workshop where you will get to grips with a variety of ink techniques such as: pen & ink, brush, twig, ink and wash, glazing and dry brush and we will study some great artists such as Louise Bourgeois, George Grosz, Paul Klee, Wols, who brilliantly creatively exploited ink in contrasting ways; and surrealist artists who worked with “automatic” drawing.” You will be guided through intensive exercises to get the feel of these different artists and techniques using observation, imagination to  produce a piece of work of your own whilst developing your skills and creativity.

Tutor: Tim Morrison trained at The Royal College of Art and Edinburgh, has exhibited in York and London and has many years experience teaching successful, varied and interesting and adult art classes. Tim is regularly part of York Open Studios.
