During this practical workshop we’ll get to grips with doing a really well-observed expressive painting of trees outside in the birch grove if weather permits or inside analysing methods and philosophy of great artists, how do they build up marvellous layers and veils of colour to evoke and describe. We shall look at the process including reverberating colour, form, pattern, mark making, pattern, pointillism and the historical contextualisation.
We shall be using acrylic paints and dilutions/glazes as you are guided expertly, dangerously, encouragingly, through a highly structured step by step sequence of the art processes in order to produce something you’ll be surprised by.
