Develop Drawing 4 Week Course - Tutor: artist Julia Borodina - When: Wednesday 21st February - Wednesday 14th March 2018 - Suitable for all levels - All materials and refreshments included - (just bring a packed lunch) Time: 10am - 3pm - Cost: £145 - Limited places available
Would you like to develop your observational drawing skills? If so this 4 week drawing course is just the thing for you. During the first week you will develop your understanding of the concepts of One-Point and Two-Point perspective. The second session will be set outside the studio space (weather permitting - otherwise we may have to sketch the view out of the windows) putting the knowledge into practise, with the focus on line (ink drawings) and tone (charcoal and chalk drawings). During the third session you shall be inspired by the pastel landscapes of Tony Allain, their colour and texture. You will work using sketches and photos from the previous week as a starting point when creating your own compositions. During the final session you will have the opportunity to explore portraiture. This course is an excellent start to developing your own independent work further once you have finished the course.
