During this workshop you shall investigate how to mix a variety of shades, tints and hues of colour, experiencing and recognising qualities of pigments, and practice applying washes and use brushes to your advantage. You will learn how to develop your ability through exploratory investigation, play, and tutor demonstration in using paint, brushes and additional materials, such as masking fluid and cellophane. You will work from observation using your own photos and drawings or, alternatively, using imagery which will be provided as a starting point. Utilising traditional methods with contemporary approaches, you will lift the lid off your creative interior and make a variety of powerful watercolour paintings.
