During this workshop you will investigate how to build an atmospheric composition, build an energy charged collage and create expressive textures using acrylic paints:

  • You will work by exploring the work of artist David Tress, learn about his representational landscape painting, and particularly, how a personal, expressive 'gut response' painting can be underpinned with keen observation, drawing and painting skills. Visual imagery will be provided, however please feel free to bring along any images or drawings to work from to produce some exciting and inspirational work. The course will value an expressive, emotional and spiritual response to landscape. During this workshop you will have the opportunity to complete a number of short exercises and a longer study.
